Product Use Responsibility

Legal Use Disclaimer

Ride Responsibly. Know the Law.

At Zap Riders, we care about your safety and your freedom to ride. But it’s important to understand that electric bike laws vary across Australia, and it's your responsibility as the rider to ensure compliance with your local regulations.

Know Before You Ride

Each Australian state and territory has its own rules for electric bikes, which may include:

  • Limits on motor power output (typically 250W or 200W)

  • Speed restrictions (often capped at 25 km/h for assisted riding)

  • Requirements for pedal assist vs. throttle use

  • Helmet and age restrictions

Some of the e-bikes offered by Zap Riders may exceed these standard limits and may not be road-legal for public use in certain areas.

Your Responsibility

By purchasing from Zap Riders, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • It is your responsibility to check and follow your local laws and regulations regarding e-bike usage.

  • Any e-bike that exceeds standard power or speed limits should be used only on private property or where permitted.

  • You accept full responsibility and liability for the use, registration, and safety of your e-bike.

Liability Waiver

Zap Riders does not accept liability for misuse, unlawful operation, or any fines, damages, or incidents resulting from improper use of products sold through our store.

Our goal is to empower riders — safely, responsibly, and legally.
